Nearly every one of my friends is either currently pregnant or has recently had a child. So as a hopeful someday-mother-to-be surrounded by women talking about their latest ultrasounds and nesting projects, I can’t help but be enamored by all things miniature and whimsical and playful.
This past weekend, my husband and I took advantage of the gorgeous weather and headed out to a local art fair, mostly to get out of the house and do something different (the free admission was a bonus). While we were sampling homemade ice creams and walking past booths upon booths of amazing photography, jewelry, and other works from talented artists all over the country, I saw the most adorable artwork that would be the perfect addition for any kids’ room.
The name of the gallery is Dotty Giraffe, and they use everyday toys as the primary subject for their artwork and photography to create the most playful prints I’ve ever seen. Wouldn’t these look awesome in a nursery, playroom, or kids’ bathroom?
“Earthquake” | “Welcome to Florida, Al!” | “Sibling Rivalry”
“Earth Rider” | “The Shower Cap is Back” | “The Treasure Coast” | “Super Frog in Training”
You can order them as prints with or with a frame (mat included with either option), wood mounted, aluminum mounted, or face-mounted on acrylic in sizes ranging from 5×7 to 24×42.
These prints would also make fantastic baby shower gifts! I’m thinking of getting one a friend having a baby girl later this summer. So many to great options to choose from, so little time…
